One person has been hospitalized and another charged following a motorcycle collision in Springwater early Thursday morning. According to provincial police, the single-vehicle crash happened around 4 a.m. at the Highway 26/27 split. Police say the bike was travelling at high speeds when the driver lost control. Two individuals, a man and a woman, were on the motorcycle at the time of the collision. The female was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The operator of the motorcycle, a man in his 40s from Wasaga Beach, was not injured. The motorcycle driver was subsequently charged with dangerous operation, driving while suspended, and driving without insurance. The area was briefly closed for the investigation. It has since reopened.
