Southlake Health in Newmarket has received national recognition for excellence showcasing how a workplace culture can drive performance. The hospital located on Davis Drive has been awarded one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures. According to the awards’ website, the program “recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having cultures that enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage.” Presented by Waterstone Human Capital, a retained executive search and corporate culture advisory firm, the top honour highlights the hospital’s commitment to its people and dedication to building a thriving, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. Marty Parker, President and CEO of Waterstone Human Capital and Chair of Canada’s Most Admired program says, “This year’s winners are leveraging culture to drive growth and success in today’s highly competitive talent market through the acquisition, retention, and optimization of high-performance leaders, teams, and corporate cultures.” Southlake says that for its strategy for the decade ahead, it’s focusing on people who will make progress and transform the hospital into a Distributed Health Network. That means offering care in various ways in addition to hospital settings, like outpatient facilities, through community-based programs, virtually, or at home.
