Highway 400 gridlocked after tractor-trailer jackknifes near Barrie

One tractor trailer jack-knifed and another flipped on Highway 400 in Barrie Friday morning.

Traffic is backed up on Highway 400 in Barrie Friday morning after a tractor-trailer jackknifed near the St. Vincent Street bridge.

Photos from the scene show the trailer off the roadway and stuck in a snowbank near the Bayfield Street area. Snowy conditions appear to have contributed to the incident.

Police told CTV News that the truck went into the ditch and is blocking the right and middle lanes of the highway. Heavy tow has been called to the scene.

Barrie Fire Services is en route. Officials say no injuries have been reported.
