Emergency crews responded to a morning fire at a residential complex in Barrie on Friday. The blaze broke out around 7:30 a.m. near Blake and Johnson streets. Five tanker trucks from Barrie Fire were called in to battle heavy flames. There is no word on the cause of the fire but officials tell CTV News the Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified. Firefighters had the flames under control by 9 a.m. Fortunately, no residents were inside the home at the time, and no injuries have been reported. Barrie police blocked off the area while firefighters worked at the scene.
