Driver charged with stunt driving doing almost twice the speed limit

One person is facing stunt driving charges after being caught going nearly double the speed limit.

On Sunday, officers from the Nottawasaga OPP Traffic Unit stopped a vehicle on Concession Road 3 in Adjala-Tosorontio Township.

According to police, the vehicle was nabbed going 110 kilometres per hour in a 60 kilometres an hour zone.

The 44-year-old driver was charged with stunt driving, and the vehicle was towed and impounded.

Police are reminding the public that speeding isn’t just against the law but it poses a serious risk to everyone on the road.

“Let’s keep our roads safe for everyone—slow down and drive responsibly. Township of Adjala Tosorontio," shared OPP on Monday.
