Bracebridge OPP: four collisions result in four impaired driving charges in span of three days

The Bracebridge detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says four separate collisions resulted in impaired driving charges for four separate drivers, over the course of three days.

On Fri. May 8, OPP responded to a single vehicle rollover that occurred on Highway 11 South, near Southwood Road in Gravenhurst, where a 36-year-old Orillia man was charged impaired operation by drug.

At 1 p.m. on Sat. May 9, a two vehicle collision call lead police to Bay Street at Muskoka Road South, where a tanker truck was rear-ended by a pickup truck. At the scene, police arrested and charged a 32-year-old Gravenhurst man for impaired operation by drug.

Around 6:35 p.m. on Sat. May 9, at Shea Road in Muskoka Lakes Township, police say a vehicle was abandoned in a ditch following a single vehicle collision. Police later found and arrested the driver, a 57-year-old Utterson woman, who was charged with impaired driving.

On Sun. May 10, OPP at other emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle head on collision on Eveleigh Road in Muskoka Lakes Township that resulted in one driver being hospitalized with minor injuries. Following the collision a 38-year-old Port Carling woman was charged with impaired operation and dangerous driving.
