Barrie police look to speak to three women part of ongoing shooting investigation

A 30-year-old Barrie man was shot in Barrie on Easter Sunday.

Barrie police are asking for the public’s help identifying three women who were seen on surveillance video in the area of a downtown nightclub where a shooting occurred.

Officers say they are looking to speak with them as part of the ongoing investigation.

Violence erupted outside a Dunlop Street East nightclub during the early morning hours on of Sun., April 5 after an altercation involving multiple people.

The victim, 30-year-old Barrie resident Jordan Sproats, was shot at close range. He was taken to the local hospital before being transferred to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, where he remains.

On Tues., April 7, police executed a search warrant at a Fitton Street home in Midland, arresting one man and two women who are facing a list of charges related to the incident.

Investigators say they are now trying to track down three additional women and speak with them as part of the investigation. Police did not disclose why they are looking to get a hold of these people.
