Access PEI offering services at Queen Elizabeth Hospital for pilot project

Access PEI will be offering its services directly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for the next three months as part of a pilot project.

The provincial government says families, patients and health-care workers at the hospital will be able to register and renew vehicles with onsite Access PEI staff twice a month. The project will run until April with the possibility for an extension.

“This pilot is about reducing barriers and making everyday tasks a little easier during busy or stressful times,” said Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Ernie Hudson in a news release. “By offering Access PEI services at QEH, Islanders have a convenient way to get things done without leaving the hospital.”

The Access PEI service will next be at the hospital from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 21 and 22.
