School bus driver ticketed after pedestrian hit in Halifax

Police say a school bus driver has been ticketed after hitting a pedestrian in Halifax early Friday morning.

Halifax Regional Police responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision involving a school bus near the 6400 block of Quinpool Road around 7:30 a.m.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the collision.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital by EHS with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the bus driver was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
