N.S. RCMP search for suspect following armed robbery at Coldbrook restaurant

Police in Nova Scotia’s Kings County are searching for a suspect they say was involved in an armed robbery.

Kings District RCMP responded to a restaurant in the 7100 block of Highway 1 in Coldbrook, N.S., Monday afternoon.

The RCMP says a male suspect fled on foot.

“There is an increased police presence in the area as officers continue the investigation and search for the suspect,” reads a social media post by the Nova Scotia RCMP.

The man is described as approximately 20 years old and between five-foot-two and five-foot-three. Police say he was wearing a white shirt, checkered shorts and slippers.

“Please avoid the area to allow officers to do their work,” reads the post.

Police are asking anyone who sees him or has information that could help the investigation to call 911.
