N.S. RCMP discover stolen trailer while investigating stolen van

A 38-year-old Nova Scotia man is facing charges after he allegedly stole a van and a travel trailer in the same week.

RCMP officers executed a search warrant at a property in the 1400 block of Harmony Road in Harmony on April 28.

Police say a van that was reported stolen three days prior had been seen at the property.

The officers also found a travel trailer that had been reported stolen on April 25 from Brooklyn Street in North Kingston.

Travis Darrell Seyforth of Harmony was arrested and charged with:

• theft over $5,000
• possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
• driving while prohibited

Police say Seyforth also used his Toyota Tacoma to haul the travel trailer at the time of the theft.

The truck was seized as offence-related property.

Seyforth appeared in Kentville provincial court the same day of his arrest and was released on conditions.

Police say he is scheduled to appear in court again on May 15.
