The expansion of a Nova Scotia program is set to be good news for book lovers. Residents can receive $10 off books written or published by Nova Scotians starting this Friday. The Nova Scotia Loyal book industry pilot program covers 1,600 titles, which will be identified at the following stores: A total of 4,000 vouchers will be available until Feb. 28, 2026. “Our book industry plays a vital role in sharing our stories and connecting us to each other,” said Ministerial Assistant for Growth and Development Damian Stoilov in a provincial news release. “Independent bookstores are important cornerstones in our communities that are first to support our local storytellers. Through this new pilot, we are helping more Nova Scotians discover a new favourite local author at a store owned and operated by their neighbours.” This is the second Nova Scotia Loyal voucher program. Earlier this year, the province announced the farmers’ market voucher program for students and new residents. For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page
