The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) says another facility is joining the long-term care workers strike in Nova Scotia. Nearly 3,500 CUPE members have been on strike in the province since April 13. The union, which represents 52 long-term care facilities in Nova Scotia, has said its major focus is improved wages for workers. Talks broke off between the province and CUPE two weeks ago. Workers at MacGillivray Guest House on Xavier Drive in Sydney were set to hit picket lines at 7 a.m. Friday.
