A 27-year-old man is facing charges after police say he fled from officers who believed he was driving a stolen vehicle in Dartmouth , N.S., Sunday. A Halifax Regional Police officer saw the vehicle travelling on Burnside Drive, near Wright Avenue, around noon. “Officers did not initiate a traffic stop at that time but followed the vehicle from a distance. Upon seeing police, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed,” reads a news release from Halifax Regional Police. “Officers did not pursue and lost sight of the vehicle.” Officers located the vehicle on Highway 118 around 1:55 p.m. It was broken down with a flat tire and police say the suspect was arrested.
