The Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM) issued a boil-water advisory for residents of Louisbourg, N.S., after a “major water main break” disrupted the supply. The municipality says those in the area should bring the water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking, preparing baby formula, washing produce, or brushing teeth. “Some residents may experience low or no water pressure while crews work to repair the water main,” reads a news release from CBRM. The Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site announced it will be closed for the rest of the day because of the waterline break. The historic fortified town in Cape Breton encourages tourists and visitors to check back on their social media accounts for updates.
