A former massage therapist in Halifax who was charged with sexual assault last month is facing additional charges after police say more victims have come forward. Halifax Regional Police (HRP) says it received a report on Dec. 9, 2024, of a sexual assault that happened during a massage therapy appointment at a business on Lacewood Drive in Halifax. On March 5, 43-year-old Sergii Kozub was charged with one count of sexual assault. Kozub appeared in Halifax provincial court on April 14 to face the charge. “Since that time, more victims have come forward and police are now laying five additional sexual assault charges against Sergii Kozub,” reads a news release from HRP. Kozub is scheduled to return to Halifax provincial court on June 5. Police say out of respect and concern for the victims’ privacy and wellbeing, no further details will be released. The investigation is ongoing. For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page
