Cape Breton Regional Police is investigating damage to copper wires that interrupted services in Sydney River, N.S., on Wednesday morning. Employees at a Bell Aliant property on Kings Road discovered the copper lines in a conduit had been cut through, according to a news release from police. “No wire was taken at the time, but the damage caused a number of service interruptions to businesses in the area and will require costly repairs to fix the equipment,” the release reads.
