Astronaut Jeremy Hansen lands in Halifax for Discovery Centre event

After his historic trip around the moon two months ago, Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen landed in Halifax on Wednesday evening for an event.

Hansen, who was part of the Artemis II crew that circled the moon as part of a 10-day trip earlier this year, spoke at the Halifax Central Library as part of an event hosted by the Discovery Centre.

“It’s great to be here, as always,” Hansen told CTV News Atlantic’s Todd Battis.

Reflecting on his trip to the moon, Hansen said he’s left with a tremendous feeling of gratitude.

“It’s really hard to put into words,” he said. “I wish I could take people there.

“It made me feel insignificant as an individual and also powerful as part of the human species.”
