Shediac inmate arrested after being on the loose for a month: N.B. RCMP

A Shediac, N.B., inmate who escaped from a correctional centre and was on the loose for more than a month has been arrested, according to the RCMP.

On Feb. 12, Todd John Lewis, 35, jumped the fence and escaped from the Southeast Regional Correctional Centre just before 5:30 p.m., according to a previous RCMP news release.

Police issued an emergency alert, but ended it after 24 hours.

Police say officers arrested Lewis in Moncton on Monday.
