Federal offender serving sentence for robbery wanted on warrant: Saint John police

Police in Saint John, N.B., are looking for a 43-year-old man who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

A warrant was issued for Jason Pitre’s arrest on Aug. 18 after he allegedly breached the conditions of his statutory release.

Police say he failed to return to the Hart House Community Residential Facility in Saint John.

Pitre is a third-time federal offender and is currently serving a four-year sentence for armed robbery and assault with intent to commit robbery.

Police describe Pitre as being five-foot-nine and 230 pounds with blue eyes.

They say the public should not approach him.

The Saint John Police Force is asking anyone who sees Pitre, or has information on his whereabouts, to call them at 1-506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
