Police looking for two suspects after violent home invasion in Moncton

Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a violent home invasion in Moncton, N.B., on Boxing Day.

The RCMP responded to the home on McSweeney Avenue around 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2025.

Police say two people broke into the home and assaulted a resident, who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“The two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle last seen travelling towards Connaught Avenue before police arrived,” said the RCMP in a news release Thursday.

Police say the suspects, described as a white male and a Black male, are both roughly 150 pounds and between five-foot-ten and six-feet-tall. Both men were wearing black clothing.

Investigators are asking anyone in the area who has outdoor surveillance cameras to check their recordings for any suspicious activity between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 26 and report it to police.

They’re also asking anyone who was driving through the area during those hours and has dashcam footage to call the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
