The New Brunswick SPCA is asking for the public’s help as it investigates a case involving a dog being dragged behind a vehicle in Saint John, N.B. The Saint John Police Force responded to the intersection of Itty Bitty Way and MacLaren Boulevard around 6:50 a.m. Monday after receiving a complaint that a vehicle was dragging a dog behind it down the road. The case is now under investigation by New Brunswick SPCA Animal Protection. “At least one person was reported to have interacted with the suspect on Samuel Davis Drive,” said the agency in a statement on social media Wednesday morning. The SPCA says the dog suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is currently under the care of a veterinarian. Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with dashcam or video footage to contact the NBSPCA at 506-469-5882.
