The Moncton Law Courts were evacuated Thursday morning due to a bomb call. An alarm went off inside the building in Moncton, N.B., just before 10 a.m. alerting everyone to leave immediately. There was a large police presence outside the courthouse as people were ordered to move out onto the sidewalk and then across the street. Moncton Fire Department Platoon Chief Brian McDonald said they received a call for a bomb scare at 9:57 a.m. The RCMP said officers were on scene of a “police operation” on Assomption Boulevard in a social media post at 10:40 a.m. They asked people to avoid the area and allow police to work. Codiac Transpo buses arrived at Assomption Boulevard so court staff and members of the public could get out of the rain.
