Cape Breton Regional Police says they are trying to track down a vehicle after a fatal hit-and-run in Albert Bridge, N.S., over the weekend. Officers were called to a section of the Louisbourg Highway between Kristin Court and Hills Road around 11:50 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived on scene, police say the body of 23-year-old woman was found near the roadway. The vehicle involved was not at the scene, adding they believe the victim was hit sometime Saturday night. In a Wednesday update, police say they are asking for help in locating the vehicle involved, which Traffic Safety investigators have determined to be a 2024 or 2025 Buick Encore Avenir. “Police are unable to confirm the suspect vehicle’s colour at this time, but believe it has damage on the front end,” read the release. Police are asking anyone with information about the collision or who is able to help identify the vehicle involved or its owner to contact police at 902-563-5151.
