The RCMP is looking for help from the public in identifying two people believed to be involved in “suspicious activity” along the Canada-U.S. border between New Brunswick and Maine. “Police believe the individuals may have illegally crossed the border into the United States and returned to Canada using a train trestle on the evenings of May 8, May 15, and May 30, 2026,” the RCMP says in a news release. Both individuals are believed to be men. Police released photos of the two wearing toques, warm rain jackets, rain boots and backpacks. The Federal Eastern Region Border Integrity Unit in Saint-Léonard, N.B., is currently investigating. New Brunswick RCMP asks anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information to contact 1-888-506-7267. For more New Brunswick news, visit our dedicated provincial page.
