Across the Atlantic in London's Soho district, thousands attended a vigil Monday night to honour the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting. During one poignant moment, the London Gay Men's Chorus sang a beautiful rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

In a video posted to the choral group's Facebook page, the group can be heard singing the 1970 classic amid a sea of people who came to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ community in Orlando.

"We're so very proud to have been able to take part in the vigil for the victims of the homophobic attack in Orlando," the Facebook post said.


Police say 49 people were killed after a gunman entered Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., early Sunday and opened fire. The gunman, identified as Omar Mateen, was later killed by police in a gunfight.
