Nyeeam Hudson isn’t keeping quiet about the time he was bullied on the playground because he didn’t have the right sneakers on. In fact, the 10-year-old motivational speaker is telling anyone who will listen in an effort to help young people find the confidence to confront the often unforgiving realities of the schoolyard.

Hudson, better known to his more than 70,000 Instagram followers as King Nahh, posts daily motivational messages about rising above the taunts of bullies and embracing personal talents to empower yourself.

“Children, never be afraid. Because that’s going to block you from doing what you like to do,” he said in a recent Instagram video.

Hudson’s popularity hit new heights when he posted a video recalling a recent run-in with playground bullies. The now-viral Instagram video shot in black and white in the front seat of a car features a calm and articulate Hudson rebuking his bullies for laughing at his FILA-brand sneakers.

“I am not a material person. I just wear FILAs because I like the colour and I think they are cool. They might not be what's popular today, but that's what I like. So I told the kid, ‘It's not about what I have on my feet. It's about what I have inside my head. No matter what I'm wearing, no matter what I have on, it's about my information, the knowledgeable things in life. These sneakers are not even going to fit you in 20 years from now’,” he said in the video which has been viewed more than 30,000 times.

Hudson’s gift for motivational speaking was obvious at just four years old, when his father started recording his son rapping. Now the New Jersey native dons a suit and tie when he speaks to young audiences about building confidence and discovering their inner “king” or “queen.””

“I think a lot of my confidence comes from my father motivating me and inspiring me, telling me these everyday things that help me grow wiser and become better,” he told CTV News Channel Friday from Orange, N.J.

His messages often touch on the importance of family and the need for honest dialogue between parents and children.

“I’m not perfect, and I definitely don’t try to be,” he said in a recent YouTube video. “My father lets met travel the world. I meet beautiful people and I do beautiful things. I’m still growing and I’m going to grow proper. My father have given me all the right materials, and shown me all the right images so I can grow into a strong beautiful person.”
