MEXICO CITY -- Mexican officials say they have captured six people who helped elusive drug cartel boss Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman break out of prison in July.

The suspects include a man considered the mastermind of the escape, the capo's brother-in-law and an airplane pilot.

Attorney General Arely Gomez says the group planned, organized and carried out the jailbreak by Guzman, who once again has become Mexico's most-wanted fugitive.

Gomez confirmed Wednesday that after the escape Guzman travelled by land to the city of Queretaro where he caught a small plane to Sinaloa, his home state and stronghold.

She said two planes left from Queretaro but did not give further details or name any of the arrested suspects.

Authorities recently announced the arrest of another pilot in connection with the escape.
