It's no crime to be vain, but it is to miss your court date.
A man wanted on a warrant in Ohio has sent a selfie to police, just to make sure they're showing photos of his good side in their public notices.
The Lima Police Department shared the photo on their Facebook page last week, along with a description of the suspect, Donald A. "Chip" Pugh.
The Facebook post includes a mug shot of Pugh, a second photo of Pugh grinning weirdly, and a third of him taking a selfie. "Here is a better photo that one is terrible," Pugh wrote to police in a message included with the selfie.
"This photo was sent to us by Mr. Pugh himself," the Lima Police Department wrote in a caption on the image. "We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the LPD about his charges."
The selfie shows Pugh sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle, wearing a collared shirt, a grey blazer and sunglasses. He is not smiling in the photo.
Pugh, 45, is wanted for failure to appear. He is also considered a person of interest in "several other cases, including an arson and vandalism," police said.
