Instagram users flocked to Twitter to voice their complaints when the photo sharing site went down for several hours on Saturday.

While the Facebook-owned application was experiencing a "feed delivery issue,” it didn't take long for the hashtag #instagramnotworking to begin trending on Twitter.

Some Instagram users lamented not being able to share "selfies" or snapshots of their breakfasts. Others suggested that there was no point in doing anything interesting with their Saturday if they're not able to share on Instagram.

Instagram tweeted about the outage early Saturday afternoon, noting that its "working to fix a feed delivery issues" and thanked it users for their patience. No further updates about the outage were provided.

Instagram seemed to be back up and running by Saturday afternoon. The website, Is It Down Right Now, reported that by 3 p.m. ET the site was reachable, however, some users continued to report that the popular application was down Saturday evening.
