Bet you can't eat just one.

If there's one thing that rivals the double-double, it might just be double-dipping in a cup of Swiss Chalet's iconic sauce.

The rotisserie chicken chain has teamed up with Frito-Lay to create the "ultimate" Canadian potato chip, flavoured to taste just like Swiss Chalet's signature chalet dipping sauce.

Canadians pounced on the announcement Tuesday, with many vowing on social media that they plan to buy the saucy snacks by the caseload.

However, Canadians planning to dash out to the grocery store will have to change their plans. The Chalet sauce-flavoured Lay's are only available from Swiss Chalet restaurants, in individual-sized (40-gram) and family-sized (255-gram) bags.

"This uniquely Canadian potato chip was the perfect way to bring two iconic Canadian flavours to the masses in a new and exciting way," Lindsay Robison, Swiss Chalet's director of marketing, said in a news release.

Swiss Chalet touts its sauce as a "staple with Canadian families since 1954," adding in its press release that "Canadians will do just about anything for (and with) the signature dipping sauce – drink it with a straw, swim in it, even bathe in it."

Although there were no promises to bathe in Chalet-sauce-flavoured chips, many on social media were nonetheless thrilled to hear about the new chip flavour. "Shut up and take my money," wrote user Brock McLaughlin.

Meanwhile, some members of the CTVNews.ca team decided to try the chips as well. Here are some of the reviews of the new flavour.
