Saturday? Sunday? Sometime next week? No one can quite figure out when the royal baby might be due. To make matters more confusing, Prince William has confirmed his attendance at a polo match more than 150 kilometres away from his wife’s side on Sunday. Yikes! Here are some other stories the U.K. press are talking about this week:

  • Brad Pitt, Beyonce, Celine Dion. Those are just a few of the royal baby’s distant celebrity relatives, according to family ancestry website Find My Past. Researchers looked at the ancestry of Queen Elizabeth II, the Duchess of Cambridge and Diana, Princess of Wales, to calculate their relationships to the children of some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities. The royal baby’s closest match was with Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s three kids, who will be his or her 11th cousins.
  • Forget shirts and mugs: There could soon be some strange royal baby memorabilia hitting store shelves. The Telegraph reports the special event will be commemorated with the sale of royal-themed dolls, donuts and even potties. And, not to worry, the Duke and Duchess have given all of these items their royal consent.
  • A midwife with a mother’s touch: Kate’s decision to have her mother at her side during child birth turned out to be a very good one. Carole Middleton, 58, is a trained midwife, having received emergency training at a British Airways training centre in 1976.
  • As Kate’s delivery date approaches, the Duchess is reportedly preparing for the big day with private pregnancy yoga sessions. Yoga is said to help the soon-to-be mother remain strong both physically and mentally.
  • An animal right’s group has offered up a cruelty-free gift to the royal couple in an effort to get their future child thinking about the way animals are treated. PETA U.K. gave the couple a faux-sheepskin throw instead of traditional sheepskin blankets.
  • Should Prince Charles really spoil his future grandchild? That’s what one group of ladies recently advised. Charles surprised the ladies’ circle when he unexpectedly asked them for advice on his impending grandfatherhood.
