PETA has slammed Kim Kardashian over her dolphin ride in Mexico.
The reality star has come under fire from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, who called Kardashian "intrusive" and "dangerous" for swimming with dolphins at Vallarta Adventures in Puerto Vallarta.
Earlier this week the mother of one posted a video on Instagram of herself and her jewellery designer friend, Kristen Gipson, taking part in a double dolphin ride. She captioned the film: "Double dolphin ride with @kristennoelgipson Thank you Vallarta Adventures for teaching us so much! Can't wait to show my daughter the pics of her swimming with dolphins & kissing a sea lion when she gets older! #ThanksForTheMemories #Mexico (sic)"
Now the Senior Vice President of PETA, Lisa Lange has criticised the star for supporting the "invasive" aquatic centre.
Speaking to RadarOnline.com, Lisa said: "Kim is free to leave the pool, but for the dolphins, it's a lifetime sentence.
"Touch tanks and 'swim-with' programs allow the public to pet, kiss, or even 'ride' dolphins. Such programs invade the animals' already diminished worlds and are intrusive, dangerous, and stressful for the animals as well as for human participants."
It's not the first time Kardashian has been criticized by PETA. In 2012, the 33-year-old TV personality had a bag of flour thrown at her because she refused to stop wearing fur.
At the time Kardashian joked: "That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weirdest thing that ever happened to me.
"Like I said to my make-up artist, I wanted more powder and that's a whole lot of translucent powder right there."
