Nick Lachey wishes Jessica Simpson the best with her new baby.
The 39-year-old singer - who married the blonde fashion designer in 2002 before they split in 2005 - has not been in touch with his ex-wife for years and hasn't been able to congratulate her on the birth of her second child, baby boy Ace, who she welcomed on June 30 with her fiancé Eric Johnson.
Nick told E! Online: "No. We're not in touch. I certainly wish her the best and I would like to think the same on her end, but we don't speak. We haven't spoken in years."
Nick - who starred in the reality television series 'Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica' with his former spouse in 2003 - is now married to Vanessa Minnillo. He and Vanessa welcomed their first child Camden into the world last September with Vanessa and hasn't seen Jessica in around six years as their marriage was a "lifetime ago".
Meanwhile, Jessica is planning on tying the knot with Eric, a retired NFL player, in the coming months. The couple also have a 14-month-old daughter Maxwell together.
