"American Hustle" and "12 Years a Slave" each are nominated for seven 2014 Golden Globe Awards. The winners of this 71st edition will be announced in a ceremony hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on Jan. 12.

Netflix's political thriller "House of Cards" is nominated for four Golden Globes, including one for the highly coveted title of Best TV series, Drama. The series will face off against "Breaking Bad," "Downton Abbey," "The Good Wife" and "Masters of Sex."
