A Vancouver man whose bicycle ride was interrupted by a "crazy" attack from a persistent crow was shaken, but undaunted by what he says amounts to a "cool experience."

"It's pretty crazy… how often does this happen?" Steven Huynh told CTV Vancouver of his unusual encounter. "I had to record this incredible moment."

In a video posted on YouTube on Sept. 25, Huynh can initially be seen on his bike with a crow perched on his back. The bird repeatedly flies at him, perching and pecking at his back and backpack straps.

"I was pretty scared. Terrified, I would say."

Huynh throws his bike and backpack to the ground and walks around the street while recording the crow for nearly four minutes until he flees.

"It didn't leave me alone. I had to grab my bike, my bag, pick it all up and try to bike away as quickly as I can," he said. "Luckily, it didn't fly back at me."

Huynh also considers himself lucky that he escaped unharmed.

"It could have poked my eye out, poked my ear, flown away with my glasses…"

But even after his close encounter, Huynh wouldn't hesitate to let the bird fly on to his shoulder one more time.

"If I do meet it again, I'd just let it fly on me. It's a cool experience."
