ELLIOT LAKE, Ont. - Provincial police say they've concluded a search of a provincial park 22 kilometres north of Elliot Lake that began when a human foot was discovered last week.

Earlier this week, police recovered a body from Semiwite Lake in Mississagi Provincial Park.

Investigators say the body had been in the water for some time and the identity of the victim hasn't been confirmed.

Police say the coroner's office and forensic identification experts are trying to identify the remains.

Police say a drowning incident from the 1970s may be related to the recovered body, but add that foul play is not suspected.
