Bosnia's war crimes court has jailed four former Bosnian Serb soldiers for a total of 142 years for participating in the execution of Srebrenica Muslims during the country's 1992-95 war.

On Friday, the court sentenced Franc Kos and Zoran Goronja to 40 years in jail, Stanko Kojic to 43 years, and Vlastimir Golijan to 19 years for killing some 800 captured Muslim Bosniaks during what became known as the 1995 Srebrenica massacre.

The judge said the killings took five hours, during which time the soldiers even found time for a lunch break.

Over 8,000 Bosniak men and boys from Srebrenica were killed after the town was overrun by Bosnian Serb forces in July 1995.
