Trailer for “Normal,” filmed in Manitoba, released

A film shot in Manitoba and starring Bob Odenkirk now has an official trailer and a release date.

The new trailer for “Normal” was released Thursday. In addition to Odenkirk (Nobody series, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), the film also stars Henry Winkler (Happy Days, Barry) and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones).

The film is being distributed by Magnolia Pictures. It is described as a “neo-Western” where Odenkirk plays a sheriff with a troubled past. He responds to a bank robbery in a sleepy Midwestern town called Normal and uncovers a dark secret.

The movie was shot in several Manitoba communities, including Starbuck, Carberry, Selkirk and West St. Paul.

“Normal” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2025, and a teaser trailer was released in December.

The film will be released in theatres on April 17.
