Multiple Winnipeg spots listed as potential measles locations

Health officials are warning of several new measles exposure sites in the past week, with all but one location in Winnipeg.

Multiple Winnipeg locations, including a high school and a dentist office, are among the latest locations where exposure to measles may have occurred.

According to the province’s Friday measles bulletin, five locations were identified as possible exposure sites on March 16.

The locations are J.H. Bruns Collegiate from 8:20 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Grenkow Dental from 10:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.; Prairie Endodontics from 1:20 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Winnipeg Orofacial Health Centre from 4:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Shoppers Drug Mart at Dominion Centre from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The province also listed two other places that had potential exposures on March 17. One was in Winkler at the Boundary Trails Health Centre emergency department between 6:45 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. The second was in Winnipeg at the St. Vital Family Medical Clinic between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The bulletin says people at the locations during the specified times should monitor for symptoms and check their vaccination status.

As of March 14, there have been 319 confirmed cases of measles in Manitoba, matching the total number of confirmed cases for all of 2025.
