Power outage affected about 11,000 customers: Manitoba Hydro

A power outage affected about 11,000 Manitoba Hydro customers Sunday evening.

At 4:55 p.m., the Crown corporation posted on social media, saying customers in south Winnipeg — including St. Norbert and River Park South — as well as areas south of the city such as Oak Bluff, La Salle and Saint Adolphe were affected.

In a follow-up post, Manitoba Hydro said the outage was caused by “some downed power lines.”

The utility said power was restored in a post at 6:20 p.m.
