The Winnipeg Police Service has made two arrests following an investigation into meth and cocaine trafficking from a West Broadway home. During the investigation, which began earlier in July, police identified two suspects and obtained a search warrant for a home in the 200 block of Spence Street. Officers executed the warrant on July 24 and seized several pieces of evidence, including a sawed-off Remington Model 870 shotgun; a hatchet and four knives; two canisters of bear spray; 20 grams of methamphetamine; 47 grams of cocaine; and a bag with fentanyl residue. A 20-year-old man and 27-year-old woman were arrested. The pair faces several charges, including possession of a weapon and possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking. The female suspect remains in custody, while the male suspect was released on an undertaking. The charges have not been proven in court.
