A seventh candidate joined the race to become Winnipeg’s next mayor. Joshua Pagdato, a lifelong Winnipeg resident, officially registered as a mayoral candidate. In an email, Pagdato told CTV News his campaign is focused on addressing housing, affordability, addiction and others through practical policy proposals and community-based solutions. He currently operates a community group called Protect the Kids Canada, centred around youth advocacy, he added. Deadline to register as a mayoral candidate is Sept. 22. The election is set for Oct. 28.
