Power restored after outage impacted hundreds in Winnipeg neighbourhood: Manitoba Hydro

Power has been restored to a Winnipeg neighbourhood after more than 1,000 customers were impacted by the outage, according to Manitoba Hydro.

Crews were dispatched to the St. John’s neighbourhood after the outage happened around 7 a.m. Monday, impacting 1,081 customers.

A spokesperson for Hydro said the area has both overhead and underground power lines and crews were trying to identify which underground section was impacted.

Hydro said underground lines can be harder to fix because the problems aren’t visible.

The spokesperson said power was restored just before 11:45 a.m.
