If you’re watching a Hallmark movie this weekend and the scenery looks familiar, there may be a good reason for that. The Fort Garry Hotel served as the backdrop for a Hallmark Channel movie that airs on Saturday. According to a social media post from the hotel, the Fort Garry stands in as the Grand Fairbanks Hotel in Hallmark’s “A Suite Holiday Romance.” Filming took place in the hotel’s lobby, Oval Room Brasserie restaurant, and several other locations around the Fort Garry. CTV News reported on the holiday movie back in April, learning the story is set in a glamourous New York City hotel. “A Suite Holiday Romance” is set to premiere on Saturday at 7 p.m. CST on the Hallmark Channel. • With files from CTV’s Danton Unger
