After a rain-soaked day across southern Manitoba Monday, strong winds continue across the region Tuesday. As the low responsible for Monday’s soaking moves east and out of the province, northwest winds will be strong and gusty in its wake this afternoon. Any sunshine to be had in the south Tuesday will be in parts of southwest, including Brandon. The Wheat City will see a mix of sun and cloud, but with an unseasonably cool high of just 13 C. Meanwhile, Winnipeg and the southeast will remain mostly cloudy, with only slightly warmer highs closer to 15 C. Northwestern regions will see a mix of sun and cloud Tuesday. Sunshine will also reach Thompson but won’t show up until light snow and drizzle falling in the area early Tuesday afternoon ends later in the day. Most northeastern regions will see rain Tuesday afternoon as the low departs the province. Churchill will be spared where it will be a cloudy, but dry afternoon. It will also be a cloudy, windy and cool day across northwestern Ontario Tuesday. Yet another round of showers returns to southern Manitoba Wednesday, before much welcomed sunshine Thursday.
