An attempted murder charge has been laid after Windsor police said a woman was doused in chemical accelerant by a man. Just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, the Windsor Police Service was called to a disturbance on Dougall Avenue near the E.C. Row Expressway. Officers said a man and a woman, who knew each other, got into an argument, during which the man allegedly threatened to kill the woman and her cat. He then reportedly poured “chemical accelerant” on her, trying to light the accelerant on fire. Bystanders helped the woman before police arrived.
