The Windsor International Film Festival (WIFF) has unveiled the 10 films selected as nominees for the 2026 WIFF Prize in Canadian Film. Those films are: “This year’s WIFF Prize nominees reflect the exceptional creativity, diversity, and ambition of Canadian filmmakers,” said Vincent Georgie, executive director and chief programmer of WIFF. “These 10 films offer a range of stories and perspectives, and we’re delighted to give our audiences the chance to discover some of the country’s most exciting talents.” The selected films will be shown at the festival in the fall, running from Oct. 29 to Nov. 8. They are all in the running for the title, that comes with a cash prize of $25,000. The winner will be announced Nov. 1. Tickets to see the nominated films, as well as festival and industry passes, general ticket 10-packs, and premium ticket three-packs are available online. The full festival lineup will be unveiled on Tuesday.
