The OPP is targeting enforcement and working on educating the public at the intersection of Danforth Avenue and Carolina Woods Crescent in Leamington. Police say there has been a concerning number of motorists failing to comply with traffic laws at the three-way stop intersection. “The behaviours we continue to see at intersections are both concerning and preventable. Every failure to stop, every missed observation, and every decision to rush through an intersection carries the potential for devastating consequences,” said Staff Sgt. Julie McLeod with the West Region OPP Traffic Safety and Marine. “These are not just traffic violations – they are choices that can result in serious injury or loss of life. We are asking all drivers to take that extra moment to stop, look, and ensure it is safe before proceeding.
