No impaired charged after LaSalle RIDE Program

LaSalle police say a recent Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere program resulted in zero charges.

Out of 107 vehicles canvassed, one roadside test was administered and there were no impaired charges.

As the weather is warming up, officers say they are out helping keep the roads and community safe, through traffic initiatives like RIDE programs.

“Impaired driving isn’t just about being under the influence of alcohol – it can include being under the influence of cannabis, prescription drugs or over-the-counter medication that may cause drowsiness,” said a social media post from police.
